“Mirror of Montenegro”, “eyes of the mountains” are the lakes of Montenegro. The question of how many lakes there are in Montenegro causes difficulties or disputes. Someone calls the number 24, some call 40, and some call even more. But one thing is certain: each lake is famous for its unique beauty and fishing opportunities.
Lake Skadar (Lake Skadar)
Area 369.7 square kilometers km, height above sea level 6m.
The Black Lake
the highest mountain lake with an area of 0.52 square kilometers. km, altitude above sea level 1418m.
Biogradsko Lake
Area 0.23 sq. km, altitude above sea level 1094m.
Plavskoye Lake
Area 1.99 sq. km, altitude above sea level 906m.
Shasskoye Lake

Lake Piva

Grahovskoe Lake (reservoir)
A small calm lake with a depth of about 30 m, formed by a bridge dam near the village of Grahovo.
Bilechko Lake
Area of about 70 square meters. km, most of it on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the dam was built.
Slanskoye Lake
Area 8.9 sq. km, altitude above sea level 621 m, formed on the site of the Slansko Pole (salt field).
Lake Krupac
near the town of Niksic, area 5.2 square kilometers, altitude above sea level 620m. Very clean water.
Lake Liverovici
near the town of Niksic, area 0.9 m². km, altitude above sea level 736m. Reservoir on the Gracanitsa River.
